Scene 1: The evil queen’s castle
Narrator:
Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a beautiful princess named
Snow White.
Her stepmother, the Evil Queen, was jealous of her beauty. Every day, the
Queen consulted her magic mirror.
Queen:
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Magic Mirror (grandly):
You, O Queen, are fair, it’s true,
But Snow White’s beauty outshines you!
Queen (angrily):
What?! How dare she? This cannot be! Huntsman, come here at once!
Huntsman (nervously):
Yes, Your Majesty?
Queen:
Take Snow White into the forest and… (pauses dramatically) …get rid of her!
Bring back proof of your deed!
Huntsman (hesitant):
As you wish, Your Majesty.
Scene 2: The forest
Narrator:
The Huntsman took Snow White into the forest. But he was kind and could not
harm her.
Snow White (innocently):
What’s wrong, Huntsman? Why do you look so sad?
Huntsman:
Run, Snow White! The Queen wants to harm you. I can’t do this. Hide in the
forest and never return to the castle!
Snow White (tearfully):
Thank you, kind Huntsman. I’ll never forget your kindness.
Narrator:
Snow White wandered through the forest until she came upon a small cottage.
Scene 3: The cottage of the seven dwarfs
Narrator:
Snow White knocked on the door and peeked inside. The house was small and
messy.
Snow White:
Hello? Is anyone home? (pauses) Oh, what a mess! I’ll clean it up.
Narrator:
After cleaning, Snow White fell asleep on one of the little beds. Soon, the Seven
Dwarfs returned from the mines.
Dwarfs (together):
Who’s been in our house? Who’s that sleeping in my bed?
Snow White (waking up):
Oh! I’m so sorry to intrude. I had nowhere else to go.
Doc (leaderly):
Well, you’re welcome to stay with us. But why are you here?
Snow White (explains):
The Queen wants to harm me. I had to run away.
Grumpy (gruffly):
The Queen sounds horrible!
Happy:
Don’t worry, Snow White. We’ll protect you!
Scene 4: The Queen’s new plan
Narrator:
Back at the castle, the Queen asked her magic mirror again.
Queen:
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Magic Mirror:
Queen, you’re fair, but it’s Snow White who still reigns supreme.
Queen (furious):
That girl! I’ll take care of her myself!
Narrator:
The Queen disguised herself as an old woman and prepared a poisoned apple.
Scene 5: The poisoned apple
Narrator:
The Queen found Snow White alone at the cottage while the Dwarfs were away.
Queen (disguised voice):
Apples for sale! Juicy apples!
Snow White:
Oh, what a delicious-looking apple!
Queen (sweetly):
Go ahead, my dear. Take a bite.
Narrator:
Snow White took a bite and immediately fell to the ground.
Queen (cackling):
Now, I am the fairest of them all!
Scene 6: The dwarfs and the prince
Narrator:
The Seven Dwarfs returned and found Snow White lying still.
Doc:
She’s been poisoned!
Happy:
But there’s still hope. True love’s kiss can break the spell!
Narrator:
Just then, a handsome Prince arrived.
Prince:
What a beautiful maiden! May I try to wake her?
Grumpy:
Well, don’t just stand there! Go ahead!
Narrator:
The Prince kissed Snow White, and she woke up.
Snow White:
What happened?
Prince:
You’ve been saved by true love’s kiss.
Narrator:
Snow White and the Prince fell in love and lived happily ever after.
